LEISURE
The o2 arena, AEG dressing room A.
This famous entertainment hub is the busiest events arena in the world,
AEG required a brand‑new VVIP room within its American Express Invites Lounge – an exclusive space for its most important guests to relax before and after live shows. Despite the compact footprint and the challenges of working in a live environment, we incorporated a range of unique design features and delivered the project just as the arena prepared to launch One Direction’s UK tour.

Dominating the room is a bespoke star-shaped mirror,
complete with dressing-room bulbs around the edges. Opposite is a custom-built Corian bar that sits underneath sliding doors, creating a viewing ledge over the rest of the Invites Lounge. Covered in mock-concrete wallpaper, this wall & the doors provide an industrial contrast to the luxurious textures elsewhere in the room. Black flock wallpaper covers the wall behind the star, while heavy, green velvet drapes hide the TV point on the end wall.
Colourful storage was installed at the other end of the room, with another mirror and lights. A drinks cabinet, upholstered by hand, was created from a flight case, designed to tie in with the entertainment theme.
